Be careful during your first few weeks. Otherwise you should be fine.
Plasma's can also suffer from a kind of temporary burn in though which (for
me at least) was much worse in the first few weeks of use. I remember my
horror at seeing the football score ghosted on my screen for about 2 hours
after the match, the first night I got my system. It still happens but only
lasts a few mins at most now.
Are you sure that your plasma is HD Ready though? It concerns me a bit that
there are no component or HDMI connectors. There are plenty of plasmas out
there which don't support HD. What make and model have you bought?
