My worry with the release schedule is that it is pretty thin for the six
months after launch and I want to buy games and actually play them, rather
than just getting into one game on release (Halo, Luminies, Mario World) and
letting the others go stale (PGR, PSP Wipeout, Super Tennis)

So 5 games is my limit until February as I am hoping to be in some sort of
swapsie gang in here. On launch day I'm going for.....

Perfect Dark Zero
Dead Rising
PGR 3
Top Spin 2

And for Christmas one of

Godfather
Gears Of War
Quake 4
Kameo
Oblivion

So what are your 5 games?

First off, of your launch day wants, only PGR3 will definitely make it, with PD0 looking fairly likely. Top Spin 2 I'm quite sure won't, and Dead Rising's gone quiet of late but hasn't been on any of the rumour lists. Plus Godfather and Gears Of War will definitely NOT be out by Christmas. But since you ask...

On launch day I will be picking up (in order of NEEED!):

PGR3
Kameo
Ridge Racer 6
Whichever of the two NBA games gets the best review scores from the US launch
DOA4
PD Zero
Call Of Duty 2
FIFA 06 (on 10-day, doubt I'll keep it, just would like to play pretty football game briefly)

I doubt I'll get all of these, so I'll probably pick up PGR3, Kameo and NBA on launch day, plus whichever of the rest gets the best scores, and pick up the rest on a weekly/fortnightly/monthly basis depending on how long it takes me to get bored of them. Basically I'm happy that the US gets it early. It's not too big a gap to really piss me off, but just long enough to get a lot of assessment of just how good the finished products are.
