why is it relevant to xbox owners who are keeping their old ones?
Because it has a picture of one on page 23?

I think it's because it says you can continue to use the same Live account on both Xbox and 360 - i.e. you don't have to "migrate" your existing Live account to a 360 Live account, it will work on 360 and continue to work on old Xbox too. This is definately a plus as previously I think a lot of people were under the impression that once you "migrated" your Live account to 360, it wouldn't work on their old Xbox any more.

Only new Live accounts registered on a 360 will not work on an old Xbox.
