Would you like a chocolate covered pretzel, Gareth?
Typical of this awful company (happily their share price is suffering
for their general crappiness I suppose).
Anyway, here you have a case: breach of contract - you were sent an
email offering to treat you for the agreed for the price and the email
was tailored to your payment. You can sue them (if you wanted to)
because, for example, their offer to treat meant that you didn't avail
yourself of other offers in time.
I suspect however that even these bunch of rip off merchants (2nd hand
Call of Duty 4 for ?46?!) may seek legal advice on this particular
problem and give way. I mean, they're not DSG are they? Trying to sell
rip off insurance policies and failing to deliver goods that have been
paid for? Oh, hold on a sec....
From this I assume my later reply didn't show up in your newsreader, Ireceived a further email from Game afterwards stating that someone had
made a mistake and that they *would* be honouring the preorder price.
Thanks for your thoughts anyway.
