Well there is no practice map like in Shadowrun, you are put straight into the deep end with just a pistol. There are no tutorials but you can have hints on when playing, I advise you to keep them on for a little while until you get used to the controls.
Every time you respawn you lose all your weapons and start again with a pistol. Not a problem as there are weapon pickups in all spawn points or at least very near. If your team takes over an area (not sure how yet) then that becomes another spawn point for you and you can choose your respawn point.
The maps are huge, you would not want to traverse them on foot, so either you grab a land vehicle or plane and drive wherever you want, or you can stay local and fight there.
Now the first game I played I was the blue team, so for some reason I assumed everyone would see they are blue and the enemy were always red (red for danger I suppose). The next game I didn't realise I was red so was shooting at my own team, so there is a tip, don't make the same mistake I did. You can tell what team you are on by the colour of band over your name on top left hand corner. I think it would have made more sense to always have the enemy as red no matter what team you are on to avoid confusion. I saw alot of people making the same mistake. Too used to that method in Call of Duty I suppose.
Flying is a little cumbersome at first. R2 to go up, L2 to go down. R1+L1 for different firing methods. It is strange at first but its easy to get used to. Same for driving land vehicles although with land vehicles its easier to hold X for forward.
Graphically it is a bit weird. I suppose its a bit cel shaded and slightly cartoony. It does look great though if just a little strange at first.
Played 5 games. Was hard to find a game with a free slot, but got there in the end, had no lag.
