Hi has anyone used YDL 5 for the PS3. If so could you please answer
the following. Thanks.

1. Does it support play back of movies encoded in Divx?
2. Does it have real player support
3. Does it have drivers for the PS3's wireless adapter since I heard
they did not before. You had to use a wired connection.
4. Does it have a boot loader? I would like to keep the PS3's OS a the
default boot.

When I tried there were no wifi drivers (ethernet only) and by default
it booted to the otherOS (linux) there is a command you enter at a
certain point if you want to boot back to the PS3 dash, though I think
there is a boot selector out now.

As for divx there are plenty of vids on youtube showing peeps playing
video (though they may also be using a different distro), no idea on
real player.

With minimal fannying about you can get VLC and MPlayer running on
yellow dog. I had it playing h.264 files from matroska containers as
well, but 720p vids were running at about 2fps.
