I don't have a controller, yet, but I thought that I'd at
least be able to boot the games up and see them working.
I'm turning the PS2 on with the games in the drive (tried blue and
silver discs) I'm faced with the following screen:
Browser
System Configuration
[Enter] [Version]
Is that normal? I thought it would just boot the game immediately,
despite not having a controller.
If the drive is working the game will boot after a few seconds, even if
there's no game controller.
It only stays on that display if there's no game in the drive.
Presumably you get the same effect if the drive is broken.
Or if you put a so-called "back-up copy" in the drive.
