The latest V3 update seems to have added a couple of nice features.
Support for a camera (I assume some camera module that is coming out),
animated background for audio playback ala iTunes or WMPlayer's
visualizations and the ability to stop UMD's from playing on startup,
which is useful if you've got a game with you, but want to listen to
music without having to quit the game first.
There's also the sly addition of remote control for PS3 via the
network menu (and also an online manual).
Not to mention locking down even more exploits to prevent the enjoyment of
home brew games.
I'm waiting for a firmware update to support a Tom Tom or Igo UMD release.
Still, the promise of a sat nav add on for PSP and a prototype or mock up
unit seems to have been vapourware talk.
Gareth.
