First game-film conversion that I've actually liked!

The sound and music is almost identical to that of the film, as are the
monsters. The camerawork duplicates some of the shots in the game as well.

A couple of little letdowns though, the film degenerates into a typical
action movie for about 5 minutes at one point, and there are too many
extras. As you'll know, in the games there are usually only about 2 other
characters at most in some scenes.

Generally, the feeling of the games is well preserved in the film,
including the not-so-happy ending that happens in some of them. I like
this one and recommend fans of the games (especially those that involved
Alessa as the big bad) go and see it.


I actually disliked the games, only getting through 30 mins of the first
one. The film, however, I thought was fab and slick.
