Will the PS3 run all PS2 games without problems?
From what I can tell of all the articles on the internet, it runs viaemulation. Are there likely to be issues with a high proportion of games?
The articles are quite old and I wondered if anything has changed. I hear
that Xbox games do not play so well on XBox 360 - they look worse than on
Xbox.
the ones i have don't look worse, they look a lot better actually as
you can play them in progressive scan mode.
no ones really sure if the PS3 will use hardware or software emulation
for its backwards compatibility, as the PS3 architecture is vastly
removed from that of the PS2. if they go for software emulation, they
may suffer from the same sort of problems as microsoft have with the
360
wouldve been cheaper to just buy your sis a 2nd hand PS2 :)
I've got about 10 RPGs yet unplayed and gave my PS2 to my sis so that she
can do her dance mat thing.
Probably will end up buying a PS3 when it is released instead.
