This is also just wrong. Is that why they like the PES games? They
always get 9/10, and yet they're rather popular now. What else is
popular? Mario Kart DS - an Edge 8. Shadow of the Collossus - an Edge
8. I can't be arsed to go on - can you tell me which 'popular' games
have been given poor reivews by Edge?

i'd have a hard job, since i havent read it in about a year and a
half. i do remember that they used to automatically mark anything down
if it were a sequel though, which is what used to strike me as
ridiculous. if that has changed, all well and good, but i'm still not
going to buy their magazine.

I have found that Edge's reviews have become a lot better recently, so
much so that I have subscribed to it (although that was mostly a panic
measure when I thought GamesTM was never coming back). The flowery prose
seems to have calmed down a fair amount. However I still find a large
number of their features (mostly their developer interviews) and most of
their "guest" columns uninteresting and badly written, and there are
still far too many job adverts. I also haven't seen any "Are Games Art"
articles recently which is good as one more of them might drive me to
terrible crimes.
