If you've not played them on any other format, get Burnout 3 or 4
(personally I preferred 3, but both are good).

Platform games: Prince of Persia Sands of Time (again if you haven't played
it on another format) and there's a new PoP game due out soon which should
be pretty good! Ico - probably a bit hard to get hold of right now, but
will be re-released early next year. The Jak and Daxter/Rachet and Clank
games are solid platformers also, there's just far too many of them for me
to care anymore :)

For more action based games, try God of War, Devil May Cry 3 or Metal Gear
Solid 3.
