Its the usual crappy PAL conversion IIRC, so I'd track down a US version
unless you happen to have a PAL-only PS2 - the improvements in the
framerate the game seems to pick up from playing it on a PS2 are worth
it IMHO (its very choppy on an actual PSOne, but its a pretty solid
30fps on a PS2).
