Much evidence of Bob Salvatore's influence?
Yes - there's a *lot* of story in it, built on top of a consistent
history visible in dialogue, books and letters - and shown in the way
the world is built, too. There's not just castles and huts plonked
down randomly, the locations are also planned out and hold to the
history.
The dialogue is well done, with optional conversation items to fill in
lots of background colour as well as history.
It has as much story content as Skyrim, I'd say, though of a very
different style of writing. Not as much text content, the books are
generally only a couple of pages long.
(The voice acting is mostly very good, with only very occasional
"that's definitely an American trying to do an Irish/Brit accent"
moments.)
That sounds awesome, tbh. Must re-read his books again.
I'm very much a fan of games having good, consistent writing. More of
this sort of thing!
I'm literally salivating with anticipation for this now.

Ew.
Do try the demo, it's pretty representative - and has a superb
feature, actually: It's 45 minutes time limited, but that excludes
conversation and book-reading time so you can dive into the lore as
much as the demo allows.
However, if whimsical elfy-welfs with irish accents get on your tits,
this is not the game for you!

i think americans that try to do brit accents sound Australian, when I
was there in early 90s the TV was awful, americans doing british
accents sounding like Australians...they cant get it!
James Marsters gets the Brit accent perefectly though....
Hugh Laurie does the American accent excellent...
But most of the time some brits cant do the american accent....and
deffo vice versa....
its strange when they get Brits doing a american accents in caprica
(sci fi so doesnt matter)
or Americans alongside Brits doing brit accents when the brits do
american accents...errr....why do that????
Cockywood lol
I thought McNulty in The Wire did a very good US accent. I had no idea
he wasn't American. There's even a bit where he does an english
accent, in character, as an american!
Dominic West - as well as Idris Elba as Stringer Bell
Then there's Joseph Fiennes & Jack Davenport (FlashForward), Joely
Richardson (Nip/Tuck), Anna Friel (Pushing Daisies), Lena Headey (The
Sarah Connor Chronicles)
