On a completely unrelated side-note, given you don't and can't have a 'proper' job as such (I know you do a bit of helping in a shop but IIRC that's just something you do cheap as a favour) due to your disability and thus don't have a London salary to rely on, what's keeping you there? You ever thought about relocating? I ask because I just looked around a nice 5 (massive) bedroom detached house with garage in a nice quiet village around five minutes drive from Sheffield city centre for exactly what you're paying for your flat. If you're not getting the massive southern salaries that you can't really get up here, why not move to somewhere where you can get a much nicer place for a fraction of the cost?

Well it is something I would definitely think of for the future but at the moment its just not feasible. Having just about got rid of my health issues bar a few, I feel settled and I feel close enough to my family if I have problems they are close to hand if I need help.
Besides I do enjoy living here :-)

I have just come back from having a chat with my landlord. I explained the situation and he has agreed to lower the rent by £20 a week until spring so I have a little extra a week to spend on heating. You see he is a friend aswell and would do what he can despite not being able to afford the luxury of double glazing. So that is a little worry off my mind, I know we can afford to heat the place properly now. I don't have to pay it back either. He knows he will get it back by way of me helping out here and there.
