I submit this link, with the disclaimer that it explicitly shows only US and JPN region hardware. I wager a clever hacker could figure out the rest based on process of elimination:

There's a Donkey Konga in Japanese? With Japanese music? WANTTTT!http://uk.cube.ign.com/articles/455/455683p1.html
Bugger, I suppose I'll need a Japanese console too. Or does chipping
'Cubes open up regions as well?

-KKC, who remembers he has a spare Gamecube he can do this on...
similar for PAL machines. Boo.
I suppose next time I'm in North America I can pick one up for $10 and
do this mod on it, might be easiest.
I kind of regret giving it away now -just for the Japanese games I can no longer play. :(
...Just remembered another one that was better in its original form... Kero Kero King. Excellent game when I had no clue what was going on. Less fun in english.
Not bad by any means though.
-Kevin.
it was pretty crap, i thought.
Did you play it in Japanese? I played it in Japanese and loved it to the end, then loved it longtime in multiplayer for aages after. Play it with kids especially (and wives) for the best kind of pure family fun.
I played it in english thereafter and it felt a bit 'meh', but I wasn't sure if it was because I had played it so much previously or if it had actually lost something in translation. I think the latter.
-Kevin.
no, i played the english version, whatever it was called (ribbit
king?)
i just felt the actual gameplay itself was just rubbish and this was
after several months of people gushing iover the japanese version on
here.
As I say, the Japanese version was lovely. As with other games, playing it _in_ Japanese seems to make it a far more immersive experience because you are struggling to comprehend what's going on and everything is not-straightforward, so you are playing more intently and it's all even greater fun when it clicks. ...And the voices are much better too.
It really does make a difference -even to actual gameplay... something region-locking kills. :(
