If Konami would give us an HD, 2D Castlevania game on the 360/PS3 we
could actually PLAY the lovely artwork.
This is a JPN-region market penetration issue, isn't it? There are more DS
units in the field than there are 360 or PS3 consoles, and so more
potential buyers. Also, you wonder if the cult of 3D graphics has fully
overtaken western marketers, to the point where they can't be convinced to
bother localising or selling 2D games that aren't casual online downloads.
Of course, there are notable exceptions. Arcana Heart and other fighting
games come to mind.
