Crackdown (360) - Down to $15, are we? Okay, I'll buy it. I see that
there's a quality game underneath all the glitz and polish, but so much
about the game rubs me the wrong way. I can haz tutorial, please? No,

Ahh shut up and just climb the buildings.

Well same back at y-- Oh, you mean actually climb the buildings. Okay
then. :)

I played the whole game (well, cleared all bosses) without being
distracted by cops shooting at me. Run away for a little while if you
need that to stop.

Upon starting the game I walked up to one of the cops in the garage,
assuming that there were little NPC dialogue options. Pressed a button
experimentally and kicked him in the face. It ruins my sense of immersion
if the mission proceeds normally after that point.

I would also argue that playing GTA beforehand would give an unfair view
of this game -one that the average GTA player might never recover from.
It's *not* GTA for good guys. In my view it's a
run-around-the-tops-of-buildings-collecting-orbs game interspersed with
some shooting/ driving interludes.

It's a sandbox, and I understand that everybody found their own way to
enjoy Crackdown. If I can tear myself away from getting the next VF5 orb,
I'll see if Crackdown clicks next time I try.

For me, Crackdown was all about levelling up my agility so that I could
run and jump along the rooftops in a crazy manga style, then it became a
game of see how big a crash I could cause by taking out the front tyre
of a passing car on the freeway, then about how many people I could blow
up with a grenade tossed from a high building, then being the long range
arbiter of bazooka death to all the grouped up badguys.

Someway along the line I must have done a few missions...
