Want:A PSP. Or do I?
A PS2. Or do I?
I spent hours umming and ahhing in Game at the weekend. Almost getting to
the counter with each of these. The PSP is attractive in that it's shiny
exciting. The PS2 is attractive in that there are billions of games that I
really want to try on it. And it's cheap. Don't know what to do.
I would go ahead with the PS2 in your situation. The library is huge and
it's hard to go wrong with it. The PSP hasn't *quite* reached the usual
monopolistic saturation point where you must have one, at least not for
me. PS2 games are also cheaper on average, as well as being more numerous.
That's what I'm currently leaning towards.
I'll put another vote to this. I bought both in the last year, and
looking at your list below,
It just seems wrong to me that
I've never played Ico, SOTC, GOW/GOW2, Katamari, any of the GT games of that
generation, and god knows how many other genuine greats.
it matches my PS2 games-owned list very closely! Add Okami, that was
the game that pushed me to buy the console (I was originally intending
to get through lots of jRPGs, but have so far completely failed).
Whereas for PSP, only LocoRoco and Ratchet&Clank held my attention,
and it is now inevitably ignored in favour of the DS on journeys.
Unfortunately,
buying a PS2 will also *inevitably* lead to me buying one of the Singstar
games, and I'm not sure if the family/neighbours/pets/passing tramps will
ever be ready for my attempts at 'singing'. :)
Heh heh heh... Hey, do any of those games have Internet multiplayer
where people around the world can laugh at your squawkings?
Cheers - Jaimie
