Play:Resistance:Fall of Man (PS3) Quite enjoying this. It looks nice enough for a launch title, though the textures aren't very hi-res and it's all a bit burnt sienna and yellow ochre like it's been soaked in cold tea, apart from using the slow-mo function on the sniper rifle - which curiously turns everything very colourful. The enemies are quite prepared to show signs of intelligence higher than plant life - the weapons are suitably meaty and there's plenty of ammo and health kicking around so you don't die too often when the big set peices kick in. It does feel a little corralled at times though, but all in all I'm quietly impressed and learning to ignore the controller being ***.
Gran Turismo HD (Demo) Curiousity led me to drag out my old GT Force Logitech wheel and it works - I spotted the devices support and it looked like it had built in support for just about every bloody wheel that Logitech has ever made. Lost an hour blasting round that very limited (as in, it's nice, but it would have been better if it were slightly longer and there was more than one of it) Alpine course in a Celica GT-4, got my time down to just over 1'12" and I'm apparently 500th or so in the world, but miles off the pace for top spot. Might be tempted to get Prologue now... but wait, I have stacks of games to play anyway, so I will resist.
More time to play games - well, I have the time, but I feel guilty about doing nothing but playing games with it. So, longer days?
Want:
To get back to Assassin's Creed which has curiously failed to grab me - will give it another hour or so, then I'll probably sell it - it looks fantastic but it just doesn't do anything for me.
COD4 (360) To get back to this as well - neglected since the first go some week or so ago.
And Tomb Raider Anniversary.
Still, it's a good job that there's a drought on.
Colds. Not much of one, granted, but it's there and showing no signs of going anywhere.
