Honestly? If someone asked me to choose between a PS3 and a 360, I'd get
a
DS instead. That's a system with ace games as well as loads of
unfulfilled
potential, rather than just one or the other.

I wonder if I'm the only one here without either? Apart from Rach, of
course.

Nope, I don't own either of the "next gen" consoles neither.

Financially, I can't afford either the 360 or PS3, and having played on both
(and the Wii), I'm still failing to see what the excitement is all about.
Even if I was employed, it's unlikely I would be ditching my PS2 any time
soon for something that seems to only offer better graphics on a type of TV
I have no intention of buying.
I connect my 360 to a monitor and gives fantastic picture quality,
granted it is only a 19" monitor and it is 4:3 aspect ratio but it is
still miles better than my 32" wide screen SD CRT - and that monitor
only cost me £5.

at £180 for a used premium, £15 for a VGA lead and £5 for a monitor it
is unbeatable value IMHO...

Also, there's no way I'd pay to play against
a bunch of 12-year-olds online when I can do that on my PC for free.

My DS isn't getting a lot of use at the moment (it comes in spurts), and
although the Wii was a really fun machine to play on, it seems that it's
only really fun if you're playing against your mates and have a huge living
room, otherwise the DS is better because I can use it online (for free, of
course!).
