One of the few examples of a show which was improved after being imported
from the UK by Americans. The original pilot was too dark and cynical for
its own good, and could never have sustained an entire series' worth of
episodes. The American show wisely kept one foot in reality, fully aware
that real life has enough absurdity to create stories for the show.

Sadly, I'm not astonished that this show hasn't been released on DVD. The
last thing the television industry needs is a show that makes fun of the
people who make television shows.

Mate of mine works at the studios where they did Matt Frewer's head
shots for the music and interview shows, I discovered over the
weekend.

I hear that the people who contributed to Max Headroom stay in touch with
each other quite a bit, as compared to people who work on other shows.
They understood that they were working on something meaningful and
insightful, and drew strength and a community from that.
