This shouldn't be the case... Are you starting a new game from a
previous save? If so, when you choose a new character you should be able
to jump directly into the story.

OTOH, if you start a completely new game (without a previous save),
you'll have to stomach the tutorial AFAIK.

no, i just started a new game. either way, they should still offer the
option to skip tutorials. being bugged by constant popups telling you
stuff you already know, or can figure out even if you have the mental
capacity of an amoeba, is beyond irritating.
