2047 (for two adults and three children) one way, from qantas.

I'm planning to spend a couple of months travelling around Australia in a
couple of months' time (I'm being made redundant at the end of September and
haven't decided what direction to take my "career" at this stage), and
originally I was going to include New Zealand too, but the preconditions of
entry there meant that there was more chance of me winning the lottery than
there was venturing out of the airport with a visa, so I'm sticking with
Australia.

There's still a few things that I have to sort out though, namely
vaccinations, visa application (didn't get much time over the weekend in the
end) and an open flight ticket. It's all made a little more complicated by
the fact I'm undergoing blood tests at the minute because of something odd
that happened to the side of my head last bank holiday.

So much to do...!
