Seeing as everyone else is probably enjoying the Bank Holiday rain, I
thought I'd get in first with this week's Play, Want, Bin!
PLAY:
XII Stag (PS2) - Proving beyond doubt that my local supermarket is the
natural home of low-cost Japanese 2D shooting action. Not the most frantic
vertically-scrolling shooter I've played, but entertainingly simplistic,
nevertheless. Like throwing gravel at a defecating cat.
Soul Calibur 3 (PS2) - More overblown, button mashing, utterly nonsensical
bollocks from the fan-fleecing Namco fighting factory. As a pure fighter,
it's clearly arse - as are all the 3D fighters I've ever played - but it
redeems itself by having HUGE (and impressively blunt) metallic blades, with
which one can gently bruise other people's already grotesquely swollen egos.
In truth, there's very little point buying this if you have SC2...
Nevertheless, I did. A sub-Platinum price point eased the (unrealistic)
pain.
WANT:
A Soul Calibur 3 cutlery set.
BIN:
Changing my posting name. I feel it would be most inconsiderate of me to
inconvenience those of you who may currently have me in a killfile.
