Is there a separate Invisibility spell? I thought that it was considered
an incomplete version of the Chameleon spell, seeing as how invisibility
is cancelled if you pick up something or swing your weapon.

When I sneak I'm invisible indoors and in the dark now anyway, just
about. In a dungeon the other night I had to get past a wolf blocking a
passage, so just snuck up to it and jumped over its head while it was
facing me. And I did the final Thieves Guild mission, which was bloody
long, with only one kill. And that was right near the start. I'd have
sneaked that bit if I'd known I'd be able to do the rest.

There are a couple of quests that result in enhancement of those abilities
too. I believe the Daedra whose shrine you should look for is Meridia, and
she'll reward you with a nice ring for your trouble.
