as for the psp and ps3, its rumoured but sony haven't een confirmed if
the thing will ship with the HDD or not, so i seriously doubt we'll
see any sort of GBA->GC style linkup between the two for some time
(mainly as i can't see the PS3 having wifi capabilities built in)

The announcements last week said that PS3s will have a hard drive, and
that it can be used as a media centre to send stuff wirelessly to your
PSP, so I presume that would be over WiFi (since PSP doesn't do
Bluetooth).

they said it will have a hard drive, but then when they have been
asked directly if this hard drive will be bundled as standard, they
have been somewhat less than forthcoming.

Hmm. I read that it would *require* a hard drive, so it would seem
unlikely that it wouldn't be included. We shall see nearer the time (or
at E3, most likely).

and i thought you needed that seperate base-station thing they
released in japan (freeplay, or something like that?) to stream to the
PSP....or have they bunged that tech into the PS3 too, just to bump up
the cost?

LocationFree, it's called. I expect the PS3 will cost a shitload, but
they'll still be losing money on the hardware even if it's $500 or more.
The standalone LocationFree base station thing costs $350 over here at
the moment. http://tinyurl.com/azohp
