The two reports I read stated Lanning was pissed off because EA stopped pushing the game as soon as the PS2 version was canned, and the other, rather contradictory, report stated the decision to can the PS2 version was taken by EA itself, because it didn't want to stagger the launch on the 2 different consoles by 5 months.
Why that should be I have no idea, IIRC THQ launched the X-Box and PS2 versions of Full Spectrum Warrior nearly a year apart and I'm not aware of the world ending or plagues of locusts occurring as a result.
aye, but i think there was some sort of exclusivity on FSW, as it was originally touted as "only for xbox"
EA ALWAYS release multiformat games simultaneously, seems to be part of their marketing strategy.
can't think of any games where this hasn't been true in recent years.
