Panzer Dragoon Orta (Xb) Played this obsessively over the weekend and got to the last boss, which you think 'Yay, I've beaten the *** thing, then it regenerates into another form (again)'. Will crack this baby this week then probably play through it again. It is good, just waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to hard on normal mode and I have an aversion to playing games on 'easy' when I start them. Isn't there a copy of Zwei in there somewhere?PLAY
It's actually the first Panzer Dragoon, a port of the PC version if I remember correctly. An unlockable bonus after meeting some game-finishing condition. There's also a completely different game to unlock, an Imperial training session that's almost as long as the main game. Sega sure loves to pack in the extras.
WANT
360. It's on order and shipping as stuff comes in, so naturally I have the games and a spare pad but no premium pack yet. I sat down at least three times over the weekend and played with the controller - how sad am I. Hope it arrives soon and is estimated for the end of next week, which gives me a bit more time to crack a few more games.
You know what's fun? The Xbox 360 controller runs on a superset of Bluetooth 2.0, and has an effective range of 20 meters or so. Microsoft foolishly engineered the ability to turn on the console from a wireless controller, meaning that you can wander the streets at night mashing the logo button to turn on a person's 360 from outside his or her house. An industrious thief could catalog and make use of this information, assuming the general public is foolish enough to leave a 360 connected to mains power at all times...

But the controller needs to be 'bound' to the 360 before you can turn it on. A mate brought round his wireless controller recently for a session but it wouldn't turn on my console or work. You need to turn the unit on, press the 'bind' button (little one by the MC slots) on the 360, then press the same button on the top of the pad, they'll lock together, and from that day forth will happily work with any 360 they've been tied to.
I'm king of not reading threads through! .
