A (slightly early) Merry Christmas


Merry Christmas to all in ugv* from the Gubbins dynasty.

I'd like to take this opportunity to ask people, when they're tucking
into vast platefuls of bland and stodgy food, pulling crackers with
crazed and decrepit relatives, and playing with loads of shiny new
things, to give a moment of thought to those in this country and
abroad who are less fortunate.

It's very easy to complain about our lives (god knows, I do it often
enough), but it's just as easy to forget how much worse others have
it. So maybe just a mention in a toast, or a brief moment's
consideration.

All the best for the arse end of 2005 and gob end of 2006.
