There's something about taming particular pets just so you can learn what they know, and teach it to a new pet. or something.

Like you can only get Bite 8 from a worg in LBRS for example. I think once you get that worg, you can then teach bite 8 to whatever other pet can learn it. Or something. again. I'm not a hunter myself.

Yep, really need a guide to make the most of it though, and even then it's not always a simple task. I can't imagine I'd have ever got many skills for my pet without referencing a skill location guide, after all the skills aren't abundant, nor is there any explanation ingame (as far as I could tell) as to why you can't learn certain skills that you *know* a mob has.

Ah, it appears there's at least *11* skills (depending on animal type) you can teach your pet now! Fuxake, this is what I was pissed off about the whole time I was playing (bite, claw, cower, growl was so limited), and now it's there..... Plus 7 passive pet abilities now too! Why was this not there at the start?!?!??!?!?!?!

So they could draw you back in to play again :) Come join us!

Yeah, maybe they could! I'm getting close, if it wasn't for visiting a friend on sat night I may well have (re)taken the plunge....

By the way, there's a couple of maps I found to be a godsend when I was starting out (they've got all the travel links listed, and main areas have suggested levels), so maybe they'll be of use to you.... it's the big Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms maps here:

Click on the maps themselves, the link at the side is broken for one of them.
