CRT but notice the GC has a digital out of some sort. I've lost the

you can get component leads for it though, tho i doubt it would make
much difference over RGB scart as, afaik, no uk/pal games support
progressive scan
SCART cable that I made for my NTSC Cube.
The component cable *is* an official PAL product, it works fine, there has
never been an issue until Nintendo removed the port from some PAL machines
to save money.
Official Nintendo component cables were never released in the PAL
regions AFAIK (definitely never released in the UK), we only got the RGB
SCART lead. The cables to make the hacked RGB cable for NTSC Cubes have
always been imported from Japan or America.
