Anyone here use a Gamecube on their HD TV. I have always used RGB with a
CRT but notice the GC has a digital out of some sort. I've lost the
manual (of course) so don't know what this out is for. Can anyone shed
any light?

Cheers,

if it's a uk cube, i'm not sure if it's even enabled.

you can get component leads for it though, tho i doubt it would make
much difference over RGB scart as, afaik, no uk/pal games support
progressive scan
The digital port does work on my PAL Gamecube because I use a hacked RGB
SCART cable that I made for my NTSC Cube.

The component cable *is* an official PAL product, it works fine, there has
never been an issue until Nintendo removed the port from some PAL machines
to save money.

Official Nintendo component cables were never released in the PAL
regions AFAIK (definitely never released in the UK), we only got the RGB
SCART lead. The cables to make the hacked RGB cable for NTSC Cubes have
always been imported from Japan or America.
