I am of course referring to the boss of the mountain tower level. The
snakey one. On the platform. If you hit it anywhere other than the four
pixel sweet spot you have a very good chance of being kicked out the
room, down a few floors, and having to restart the boss fight. If you
get hit by it, same happens.
Yes, it's really rubbish. I gave up there the first couple of times I
played the game, then a couple of hours later the last time. It bemuses me
that people think LttP is better than Ocarina of Time or Wind Waker.
I found that snake-in-the-sand boss in WW more annoying than this one,
and I had to do that one twice (right?).
I thought that was one of the most fun bosses in Wind Waker. Had another
go at link to the past last night and was in danger of causing injury to
my micro so I switched it off.
You're evidently some sort of freak, it's the only rational explanation.
I don't think it's the difficulty that bothers me, it's the fact that
I'm forced to start again if I get knocked off the platform. It's just
what I'd class as 'cheaty' game design.
I'm sure I could persevere with it, but then if they're upping the
difficulty in this manner so early on in the game, I know it's just
going to be stupid later so why bother.
