Since I have (after 5 years) finished work on my Linux/Mame cabinet I

I will be eventually getting a DC X-Arcade as the control panel but for
the time being I am using a SmartJoy2 PSX->DC converter with an ASCII
fightstick.
The problem is that certain games will not boot without a VMU in slot 1.
Ikaruga is one of them, it boots, goes past the first screen then shows
a page of Japanese writing and reboots. Put a pad with a VMU in slot 1
and it is all fine.
So, has anyone come across a controller cable splitter which will allow
a DC+VMU to plug in one side and an A.N.Other pad in the other?

PS - anyone got a copy of the Utopia disk with VGA patch?
Why not just use an offical DC Arcade Stick? They are lovely and they
have a VMU slot too.
