Currently playing a tabletop bastardised version of an award-winning PBM; well, running it at the moment, not actually playing. It's post-holocaust, skill and stat based, heavy on RP. Good fun.
Thinking of switching to WFRP for a while so I can take a break from GMing and play, though. Depends what the group wants, really.
As for reading, still ploughing through WFRP2 and drinking in the atmosphere. Quite tempted to join a play-by-web game using those rules, although of course it would primarily be for the RP and not the rules.
Yourself?
I haven't played for a while. I was in a small group, but it reached a point where it was virtually impossible to get even the four of us into a room at the same time because of other commitments. When our female member quit, so did I. Currently trying to find a Friday evening game.
After resisting buying it for a fair time, I bought the nWoD after buying the Ghost Stories book to see if it had any good ideas. A couple of weeks ago I succumbed to Werewolf: The Forsaken, and last weekend I succumbed to Mage: The Awakening. So far, the systems are looking better (though I've not played the new one, so I can't say for sure). The settings seem slicker and more organised, but I'm not, as yet, getting a buzz from them. This may change.
Buying up all the new WFRP2 products as they come out. The Old World Bestiary and Sigmar's Heirs are the best products so far, though definitely flawed. For example, the OWB lacks the breadth and depth of creatures the original core rulebook had.
Secrets of New York for CoC is yet to be read.
I'm buying the Eberron books as they come out. I have problems with the D&D system, but I like this setting, which seems extremely versatile.
Still have loads of stuff unread - heaps of old WoD supplements, Deleria bought at last year's Dragonmeet, Unknown Armies from last Christmas, and Ars Magic 5th Ed. Then there's GURPS Russia, which I bought from Phil Masters years ago...
A shockingly long time ago, I agreed to review a copy of Tibet: The Role Playing Game, which was sent to Warpstone. I'm not sure I'll ever finish the review, but I think I'll take this random moment to say I thought it read very well. Even if the game itself was ignored, the book is an extremely good resource on Tibet - probably most useful for CoC, but possibly WoD, too.
