I'm not sure where UK-related RPG discussion *does* happen these days, really, given that UK Role Players is hardly the most active RPG-related Web board I've ever seen. Or is it that there's not much UK-specific stuff to talk about, so all discussion can wander off to the non-region-specific boards and groups?
I think most people are more interested in game-specific than region-specific unless they are looking for a game. Personally, I've never been that interested in the fact that u.g.r was UK-related, just that it was fairly diverse with a good signal-to-noise ratio, even when we were all arguing over something.
However, it did surprise me when earlier in the year when there was really no discussion at all about the new edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplayer. I mean, it's a UK game, it's well-established and still popular, and it's being published by Games Workshop (always a popular subject for argument).
So, Phil, what have you been writing recently? Still doing stuff for GURPS?
