I, in fact, was the only person who wasn't too happy about the 'no two
towns of the same colour' rule when it came to moving cubes. This
simply sounded too artificial to me. Steve said it was to prevent huge
scores due to the luck element referred to above.
However, in a later game we tried the 'unlimited' movement rules (as
long as the chosen route was the shortest between the termini). But
Steve was right. A lucky network of canals means a player can early on
clock-up huge scores
