Yippee-kai, Ivan Hanley!
I've only ever bought ultra-pro protectors and I use them in some of
my games. As long as the cards fit into them I've never had any
problemss with them falling out.
They were the brand I have been looking at, the trouble is I can't find a
site that lists the dimensions of them. We they adequately fit the size of
cards I wish to use with them?
Regarding lamination, I think this is not such a good fix. I've
laminated cards for a ccg I was designing and with use they eventually
wear, split and peal the top off the card. I'd really suggest not
laminating them! :)
I did perform a test last with a couple of spare cards and the result was
really nice. I cut one to try and open it and the card didn't come away
clean with the print sticking to the laminate instead so if they eventually
split then my cards are indeed quite likely to end up wrecked so I will give
lamination a miss.
