What's the big surprise?
As a property's council tax band is based on its value, and
that value is affected by such things as "a nice view" and
off-street parking, everyone should expect that the council tax
could be higher if you have any of those "desirable features"...
Yep. I really cannot understand the newspapers' obsession with this issue.
It's fine to argue about whether there should be a revaluation or not. But
it's nuts to nit-pick over how it the value is to be obtained, especially
given that everyone agrees the previous method was a joke.
