I split my time between Canada and England and notice that in Canada
there seem to be much better stock trading deals than England, eg $7,
even $5, a trade are common. In England its usually around £12 ($20+).
Why the difference, or are there good deals out there in England that
I've missed?
Have a look at Halifax ShareBuilder
http://www.halifax.co.uk/sharedealing/sharebuilder.asp
I've also just been looking for online deals. I seem to remember that it
used to be possible to buy shares at the Post Office, although only from a
restricted list. I haven't been able to verify this. Is it possible?
No. Only National Savings & Investments.
