Hi how much is the winter fuel payment £100 or £200? I was 60 lastAt last - a question I can answer :-)
November and missed last year's payment and my wife was 60 in June and
started to receive her OAP. I am still working. We both filled out the
forms earlier this year to claim the winter fuel payment. I got £100
paid
into my bank account last week but nothing has been paid into my wife's
bank account. So should she get a payment of £100 or is it just £100
for
a
married couple as I thought it was £100 each. The web site says that
payment will not be finished until Christmas but I thought I would get
clarification as to the amount before I telephone the DWP.
Thanks Dave
It's £200 per pensioner household, where a 'pensioner' is anyone over 60
by
a specific date. Your wife will get her £100 in due course. They are
very
efficient, in my experience.

AIUI, it's £100 each - so both need to qualify to get £200 altogether.
There are exceptions and this link may help....
http://www.thepensionservice.gov.uk/winterfuel/do-i-qualify.asp
There are a few rules around it but the site above says that singles, or
where only one qualifies, get £200 while couples get £100 each so either
way you get your £200 per household.
So it does - apologies and thanks for pointing that out. Weird, cos I know
of cases which have only rec'd one lot of £100, and I assumed that was
because a second resident didn't qualify.
