Ryanair and similar - whats the economics of it ?


How can anyone buy / lease planes etc. and charge , in some cases , pence
for the tickets ?

i know the taxes are on top and no doubt drinks etc. are extra but it seems
incredible

there must be some clever article on this sort of thing or any expert care
to explain ?
