Maybe because John Boyle is the only contributor to this new group who
knows how the clearing system works and your post was clearly
irrelevant.

Now, perhaps you will tell me why you didn't read the original
question and posted some irrelevant links ?

Neither you nor John Boyle have been authorised to act as moderators or
police in this newsgroup. Therefore no-one is obliged to account for their
postings to either of you.

If you have something more 'relevant' to contribute, I suggest that you do
so, instead of trying to censor the contributions of other posters who
probably know a lot more than you do.

The issue is not how the clearing system works, but the legality or
otherwise of the banks' charges. This is, of course, a sensitive subject
at the present time, because for far too long the banks and other
financial institutions have made easy money from such charges.
