Anyone know how long it may take to clear a substantial cheque sentIf at all possible do not accept a cheque.Ask for a wire payment
from US bank ? Do they have speedy clearing sytsems, or quite the
opposite + lots of hoops to jump through to enable the money to be
moved out of the US ?
(international moneymover) which will clear when put in your account.
A cheque Collection can take 4 to 6 weeks!
A week when I did it,ie in the good old days when I used to clear a few
hundred quid a month from Barnes and Noble afiliate programme
If it took a week, that wasnt proper clearing, in effect the bank took a
chance on it, and it could have been reversed later. As a previous poster
said, 6 weeks or so for it to be finalised.
