This might be an important difference, for reasons I probably
shouldn't suggest here, but one obvious one is I can't take a cheque
off you for example and pay it onto my card (avoiding a bank a/c).

I can now see the difference and why its requires less fuss.
I wonder why they make the statement about it though. Maybe to cover
themselves in the eyes of the law.
Perhaps they're going to change things soon. Hmm, I might order a few
more... :-)
