(or for a peerage, further down the line).

Or hang on, was it a gift? Let me see, oh, er, to be honest, no-one can
recall now and there doesn't seem to be any record of it anywhere either,
deary me, what are we to make of the tax implications in that?!

I made nothing really, the expenses swallowed it up...
