The World is stuffed

FACT There are too many people on this planet, many think there should be 2-3 billion, not 6 billion. What's even worse is that every prediction says the worlds population will hit 9 billion by 2050. Amazingly several (most) western countries are rushing around doing their best to increase the birth rates [Take German it introduced mammoth handouts (which if I remember correctly it was the equivalent of about 16,000 quid) to any German resident which has a baby post Jan 2007].

I live in amazement with our own government and the lies it put out. Sure I honestly believe Britain can become carbon natural. It's easy. Build nuclear power stations + wind farms etc. Buy ALL our products from China, and then turn around and blame China for its increasing CO2 production.

On the recycling side. Is recycling green?

Having hundreds of lorries visiting every house in the UK to collect tins, plastic, compost can't be environmentally benefit to the planet. People should return their packaging the next time they shop, and they should be less packaging.

I am usual in believing that SOME landfill is the best option. Some (most) items aren't environmental cost effective to recycle, in these cases I think there should be a middle route between general landfill and recycling. I would like to see specialist landfill sites, ie one landfill for glass ONLY, one for plastics ONLY etc. Then in 50, 100, 200 years time at least the poor sods that inherit this planet might be able to do something with the stuff.

Lastly just how green is our departing MP.
- 3 Kids [his greenness is not looking good, if he wanted 3 kids he should have done a Madonna and adopted at least 1 of the 3]
- Illegal wars [how damaging is the Iraq war on the planet, or aren't military jets also damaging to our ozone level?]
- In the last month he being flying around the planet to boast his own self esteem. Did he really have to go on this world tour, or buzz around the UK in a helicopter to tell the people that he was going to resign as MP?
[unfortunately I think the next guy will be worse]

My rant of the day [caused after listening to LBC who consider that if everyone turns off a light for a few hours on one particular day that it's going to send a big message to the world (or help it at all)]
