According to Alan, this isn't what environmentalists do. According to
Alan, an environmentalists environmental footprint is no better than the
other consumers around them. They will be in the pay of exploitative
big business, and will actively encourage consumption. Ergo, if you
"actively pursuing a minimalist lifestyle", you aren't an
environmentalist.

This is how it is, because Alan rants it so ! Praise be to Alan !
