We should treat them with a fair degree of sceptism, but not as much as
the doomsayers make out. Bear in mind:

1. Nuclear power is no longer "rocket" science.

2. We are much better at managing large projects than we used to be. 30
years ago doubling in price was par for the course. Now its a scandal
when Wembley stadium goes a few percent over budget.

will probably be cheaper than gas in 30 years.

Indeed so. As per my other post, keep gas for managing the spikes in
demand. (Since we're not blessed with large amounts of hydro).
