You are saying you know better so come on tell us a species which would
benefit by managing the habitat by neglect.
Leaving things to nature is not "neglect".OK it is also called non intervention.
Left well alone is not "management".All words, you in your intellectual isolation can call it Fred if you like.

They are dependent on everywhere they live.Well thought out.
It's true.No one can be wrong all the time but some have a good go at it.
So how are the ;infestations of humans threatening them in woodlands?
Coppicing for a start. Let trees die naturally. So do you think there are none in coppice woodland. There speaks someone
who has never got his hands dirty in a coppice wood.

Please explain.I thought we were talking about the UK. If you mean that the rain
forests have no people, in parts you may be right, but please don't
compare primary forests, temperate or tropical, with our woodlands
which have been managed for millennia.
The Woodland Trust do.
Are you saying they're wrong?I don't know what you say they are saying.

Do you try to deny that the profusion of species relates to the manyMost rain forests are exploited byRubbish. Much of the rain forests are still not accessed by humans.
human beings anyway.
geological epochs of continuity in a rain forest, and the relative
scarcity in European temperate forests results from the fact that for
400,000 years ice ages come along every 15000 years or so, which push back
people and species to the Med.
I am talking about now. in the 1950's and 60's kids went out.
You weren't a short time ago. It's you who brought up the 5k years

Yes, this thread has covered a lot of ground, but to repeat it, I said
that the wildwood was cleared in neolithic times, and any woodland left
was only there because it was managed for its wood and other products,
such as animals for meat. This was the case over the whole UK to a
lesser or greater extent until the products became cheaper to supply in
other ways from around the 1950's. Anything flora and fauna we have is
related to the open landscapes and exploited woods of the intervening
years, not the wildwood. Anything that depended on that, was
exterminated long ago.
I don't remember you saying that. Are you changing your tune again? No Angus, I have no need to change any tune unless I am convinced of any
new scientific evidence relating to a matter.
As I have said, people problems in the countryside come in cars. The
people in these rarely venture far from the car. <snip>
Not so. Look at the visitor numbers of RSPB reserves. What am I supposed to look at. A few people strolling around some of
their woods with bins.
